Saudi Stock Market: Main Index Closes in Red, Key Sector Profits Rise

Riyadh - Saudi Arabia's Tadawul All Share Index drops 0.16% closing at 11,593; key companies report profit growth.
RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index experienced a minor decline on Sunday, decreasing by 18.23 points or 0.16 percent to close at 11,593.45.

The day's trading saw a total turnover of SR3.25 billion ($870 million), with 174 out of the listed stocks advancing and 75 recording declines.

The Kingdom’s parallel market Nomu dropped 9.42 points, closing at 25,039.36, while the MSCI Tadawul Index decreased by 0.32 percent to settle at 1,508.43.

Positive performances were noted in several key companies.

Canadian Medical Center Co. led with a 5.91 percent increase, pushing its stock price up to SR8.60.

Saudi Automotive Services Co. and LIVA Insurance Co. also saw advancements, climbing 5.65 percent and 5.03 percent respectively, to close at SR72 and SR14.19.

Conversely, United Cooperative Assurance Co.'s share price dipped by 5.33 percent down to SR4.80.

Among the notable announcements, SABIC Agri-Nutrients Co. reported a significant net profit of SR3.33 billion for the first nine months of the year, representing a 40.49 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024.

The company attributed this growth to a 23 percent rise in sales and a 17 percent increase in average selling prices.

Despite this, its share price fell by 0.49 percent to SR123.10.

Mobile Telecommunication Co. Saudi Arabia (Zain KSA) also saw an uptick in profitability, with its net profit rising 15.83 percent year-on-year to reach SR373 million.

This resulted in a stock price gain of 2.75 percent to SR11.59.

Modern Mills for Food Products Co. reported an 8.58 percent increase in net profit year-on-year for the first nine months, totaling SR171.45 million.

The company's growth was attributed to its performance across all categories, particularly flour.

It highlighted that this strong showing was a result of both top-line growth and effective financial management, leading to lower financing costs.

As a consequence, their share price rose by 1.18 percent to SR34.40.
