Saudi Foreign Minister Receives Call from UK Secretary of State
The Saudi foreign minister reviewed bilateral relations and regional developments with his British counterpart.
Riyadh: Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the Saudi Foreign Minister, received a telephone call from David Lammy, the United Kingdom's Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Development, on Sunday.
Their conversation covered various aspects of Saudi-British relations as well as current developments in the region.
According to a statement by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal and Lammy discussed ongoing efforts related to regional matters.David Lammy is currently on an official tour through the region, having previously met with Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa in Damascus on Saturday.
This meeting marked the resumption of diplomatic relations between the United Kingdom and Syria after a 14-year hiatus due to the country's ongoing conflict and rule by the Assad family.Additionally, Lammy held separate meetings with Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah during his visit to Kuwait.
