Saudi Arabia Unveils $100 Billion in Aviation Investment Opportunities at Future Aviation Forum

The Future Aviation Forum in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will bring together the world's largest aviation investors later this month.
Saudi Arabia aims to reveal over $100 billion in investment opportunities to support its Saudi Aviation Strategy.

The investment showcase will focus on projects and incentives for airports, airlines, ground services, cargo, and logistics.

Approximately $50 billion is allocated for airport development, $40 billion for new aircraft orders, and $10 billion for other projects, including logistics areas around major airports in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam.

Minister Saleh-Al-Jasser, who will open the forum, stated that Saudi Arabia's aviation investment opportunities are unparalleled globally, as the Saudi Aviation Strategy aims to triple passenger numbers, connect to over 250 destinations, and handle 330 million passengers and 4.5 million tonnes of cargo by 2030.

Minister Khalid Al-Falih, Saudi Arabia's Minister for Investment, announced that Saudi Arabia aims to attract $3.3 trillion in investments by 2030, with aviation being a key sector.

The Aviation Investment Showcase will offer investors access to major projects like the six-runway King Salman International Airport in Riyadh and public-private partnerships for airports in Abha, Taif, Hail, and Qassim.

Opportunities in cargo and logistics, advanced air mobility, and business aviation will also be featured.

Aviation suppliers will be briefed on expansion plans for new airline Riyadh Air and existing carriers like Saudia, Flynas, and Flyadeal.

The Future Aviation Forum will take place in Riyadh from May 20-22, 2023.

Executives from Boeing, Airbus, Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Embraer, airlines, airports, cargo, logistics, and aviation services companies, as well as investors, will attend.

Speakers include Saudi ministers and CEOs from both Saudi and global aviation and investment sectors.
