Saudi Arabia Expands Electronic Visa Program to Three Caribbean Countries: Barbados, Bahamas, and Grenada
Saudi Arabia has expanded its electronic visa program to include citizens of Barbados, the Bahamas, and Grenada.
These individuals can now apply online or on arrival for a visa to visit Saudi Arabia for tourism, Umrah, events, exhibitions, conferences, or to see friends and family.
The expansion brings the number of eligible countries to 66.
This move is part of the Ministry of Tourism's plan to boost global connectivity, stimulate economic diversification, and contribute to the tourism goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The text discusses Saudi Arabia's goals for the tourism industry, which include a 10% or more contribution to the country's gross domestic product and the creation of 1 million jobs.
In September 2019, the Ministry of Tourism introduced tourist visas as part of an initiative to boost tourism, showcase cultural experiences, and encourage international visitors.
The eVisa program is expected to be expanded to include more countries.
