Saudi Arabia and Japan Celebrate 70 Years of Diplomatic Relations

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia and Japan commemorated the 70th anniversary of their diplomatic relations in Riyadh on Monday.
The event marked seven decades of partnership between the countries, which began in 1955.Saudi Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed Al-Khereiji delivered a speech emphasizing the significant bond between Saudi Arabia and Japan.
He noted that the collaboration has been instrumental in promoting regional and global stability and prosperity.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, Al-Khereiji stated that their shared vision aims to elevate mutual relations to new heights through a comprehensive strategic partnership.Al-Khereiji expressed the Kingdom's aspirations to strengthen its ties with Japan, focusing on achieving greater growth and prosperity for both nations.
Saudi Arabia is recognized as Japan's primary crude oil supplier, and Japan has emerged as a key trade and investment partner for the Kingdom.
Under the Saudi-Japan Vision 2030, the two countries have agreed to bolster their cooperation, including initiatives in decarbonization, as highlighted by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.This milestone anniversary underscores both countries' commitment to fostering further collaboration across various domains, aiming to create a more prosperous future.
