Russian Authorities Intercept Drones Near Moscow, No Injuries or Damage: Report
On May 10, 2024, Russian authorities intercepted a drone headed for Moscow in the Podolsk district, south of the capital.
No injuries or damage were reported.
In addition, anti-aircraft units in the Bryansk and Belgorod regions, both bordering Ukraine, reportedly downed three and two Ukrainian drones respectively, with no damage or injuries.
Ukraine has increased drone attacks on Russian oil processing facilities since the beginning of the year, causing damage to approximately 15% of Russia's refining capacity, according to a NATO official.
The latest attack occurred on a major oil processing plant in Bashkortostan region, which is around 1,500 km from Ukraine, marking the longest-range drone attack since the start of the war in February 2022.
