RIYADH'S ANNUAL ATHAR FESTIVAL TO HIGHLIGHT CREATIVITY ACROSS INDUSTRIES
The third annual Athar Festival will take place in Riyadh's JAX District from Oct. 21-22, featuring around 3,000 visitors and 150 speakers across more than 30 categories.
RIYADH: The third annual Athar Festival, a major gathering for the creative marketing industry in Saudi Arabia, is set to take place at Riyadh’s JAX District from Oct. 21-22.
Hosted by communications consultancy TRACCS and UAE-based Motivate Media Group, the two-day event is expected to attract around 3,000 visitors and feature 150 speakers, culminating in the Athar Awards across more than 30 categories.
Mohamed Al-Ayed, vice chairman of the Athar Festival and CEO of TRACCS, highlighted the growing maturity of Saudi Arabia’s creative industry.
He stated that this year's festival aims to be one of the top five creative destinations globally, as the country continues to transform and grow.
The event will feature an increased number of speakers, with over 40 percent being international, along with a larger venue, expanding from 2,000 sq.
meters last year to more than 6,000 sq.
meters this year.
Speakers at the festival include notable figures such as British perfumer Jo Malone, founder of Jo Loves; Essam Akhonbay, vice president of marketing at Saudia; and Abeer Alessa, co-founder and CEO of The Bold Group.
The festival will utilize five stages, including strategic and spotlight stages for panels and keynotes, a Saudi Gamer Arena focusing on gaming and esports, community stage sessions, masterclasses, and workshops, as well as a courtyard stage featuring live music, wellness activities, and comedy.
Fairservice emphasized that the festival is open to attendees from all industries, particularly those seeking career changes.
The event has introduced new hubs, including the Talent Hub, Ruwad Hub for entrepreneurs, and Saudi Gamer Arena, in addition to other networking areas.
Specialized programs at the event include CEO and CMO roundtables, CMO academies, and the Maheerah Program, a mentorship initiative for women in Saudi Arabia’s marketing communications sector.
The festival has partnered with over 80 organizations, including MBC Media Solutions as growth partner and Flynas as official airline partner.
Al-Ayed emphasized the growing importance of creativity within the business sector and the need for a platform to support Saudi creativity, positioning Athar Festival as one of the leading creative events in the region.
