New Program Aims to Foster Youth in the Gaming Industry
The 'Game by CODE' program, launched by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, aims to support university students and young entrepreneurs entering the gaming sector.
The 'Game by CODE' initiative, recently introduced by the Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology through the Center of Digital Entrepreneurship, seeks to empower university students, young business individuals, and game developers in their pursuit of a career within the gaming industry.
This program is designed to stimulate digital entrepreneurship across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In collaboration with the National Technology Development Program, 'Game by CODE' offers participants an opportunity to engage in team-based game development.
The initiative provides an integrated incubator framework that includes expert guidance, technical training, practical resources, and mentorship aimed at transforming concepts into feasible and scalable projects within the gaming sector.
Upon completion of the program, an event will be held where participants present their developed projects to a distinguished panel comprising investors and industry experts in the gaming field.
The best-performing teams from each participating city will earn access to the MVPLab product offered by the National Technology Development Program, further enhancing their prospects within the gaming industry.
The program spans a duration of three months, with operational hubs located in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Hofuf.
Its curriculum encompasses key areas such as game art, programming, design, and entrepreneurship, aiming to equip participants with comprehensive knowledge and skills necessary for success in the gaming industry.
This initiative is part of the Ministry's broader strategy to bolster Saudi Arabia's digital entrepreneurship ecosystem and provide support to young talent.
