Muslim World League Condemns Israeli Attacks on Civilians in Gaza, West Bank
The organization calls for international action to halt violence and ensure accountability for 'horrific massacres'.
Riyadh: The Muslim World League (MWL) has condemned recent Israeli attacks on civilian shelters and ongoing violence against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the MWL describes these actions as part of a wider pattern of settler aggression carried out with impunity under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.
In a statement issued by the MWL's General Secretariat, Secretary-General Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa denounced the 'heinous crimes' committed against unarmed civilians.
He specifically mentioned attacks by settlers on the village of Kafr Malik, east of Ramallah, which he called a blatant violation of human values and international laws.
Al-Issa urged the international community to uphold its legal and moral responsibilities, demanding decisive action against what he described as the Israeli occupation government's disregard for the rights and dignity of the Palestinian people.
He also called for the immediate activation of international mechanisms to halt the violence and ensure accountability for those responsible for the 'horrific massacres'.
The condemnation comes after Saudi Arabia's Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Friday, denouncing the continued violence perpetrated by Israeli settlers under the protection of occupation forces against Palestinian civilians, including attacks in Kafr Malik.
The MWL has been actively advocating for the rights of Palestinians and opposing what it terms as human rights violations committed by Israel.
These recent condemnations highlight the ongoing tensions between Israelis and Palestinians and the international community's role in mediating a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
