The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributes food supplies to support vulnerable populations in two countries.
Riyadh, September 12, 2025 - The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has recently provided essential food assistance in
Afghanistan and Somalia as part of Saudi Arabia's ongoing humanitarian initiatives.In
Afghanistan, KSrelief distributed 797 boxes of basic food supplies to benefit 4,782 Afghans residing at the Omari camp near the Torkham border crossing in Nangarhar Province.
These individuals were returning from Pakistan and have been temporarily accommodated at the camp.
This move aims to alleviate their immediate food needs.In Somalia, the organization delivered 1,300 food boxes to vulnerable families in Baidoa as part of Saudi Arabia's Food Security Support Project for Somalia.
This project is designed to offer critical support to communities affected by ongoing crisis and poverty.Additionally, KSrelief's Assistant Supervisor-General, Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz, met with Mauritanian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Mokhtar Ould Dahi to discuss humanitarian and relief matters.
The meeting focused on enhancing existing collaboration in these areas.Furthermore, a KSrelief team joined a donor delegation from the Lives and Livelihoods Fund for an onsite visit to a maternal, newborn, and child health services project in Tajikistan's Khatlon Province.
They inspected recent improvements in medical equipment and patient wards, which have significantly increased antenatal care coverage from 50 percent to 70 percent and supported over 1,500 safe deliveries.
