KSrelief Expands Humanitarian Efforts in Yemen with Eye Surgeries and Education Projects

DUBAI: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has embarked on two new initiatives in Yemen as part of Saudi Arabia's ongoing humanitarian support.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), these efforts aim to bolster health care and education in the war-torn country.In Aden Governorate, KSrelief launched the Saudi Noor Volunteer Project, which operates from September 7 to 14, offering advanced eye surgeries for low-income patients.
As reported by SPA, a team of six volunteer specialists has conducted successful medical procedures including 22 retinal surgeries, 10 strabismus corrections, five glaucoma operations, four orbital procedures, along with 98 retinal injections, 80 laser treatments, and 19 minor interventions.In the Hadramout governorate, KSrelief delivered 28 alternative classrooms across the districts of Thamud, Ramah, and rural Mukalla.
This initiative coincides with the start of the academic year 2025-2026 and is intended to alleviate overcrowding in schools, keep children in education, and ensure equitable access to quality learning environments.
