Israeli occupation's bid to build settlement units inside Palestine is 'flagrant violation': KSA
Saudi Arabia has condemned a decision by the Israeli occupation authorities to float bids to build settlement units inside the occupied Palestinian territories.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday, it expressed the Kingdom’s denunciation of the decision, which is considered as a continuation of the flagrant violations committed by the Israeli occupation authorities.
Saudi Arabia called on the international community to assume its responsibilities to end the Israeli occupation and stop its provocative practices, which would obstruct political solutions paths that is based on the Arab Peace Initiative, and undermine international peace efforts.
It is worth mentioning that Saudi Arabia had earlier expressed its strong condemnation of the decision taken by the occupying Israeli authorities to allow resettlement in the areas of the northern West Bank in Palestine.
Israel announced the issuance of tenders for the construction of more than 1,000 settlement units, days after the Israeli “Knesset” passed a legal amendment allowing the return of settlers to four settlements in the northern West Bank.
