Bahraini authorities have said they took legal action against a woman who had allegedly driven a car while placing a housemaid inside the trunk.

The action came after a video went viral online showing a woman precariously riding inside a car trunk while holding a big box to prevent it from falling as the vehicle the vehicle was moving on a public road.

Internet users have claimed that the woman was a domestic helper.

The Interior Ministry said on its Twitter account that traffic authorities , in response to the video, took legal procedures against the 20-year-old female driver who will be referred to prosecution for putting the life of another in danger.
