Expo 2030 Site Designs Completed Under Crown Prince's Supervision, Says Al-Khateeb
Tourism Minister Ahmed Al-Khateeb announced that the Riyadh Expo 2030 site designs are complete, having been closely overseen by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Speaking at the Saudi Green Forum 2023 in Dubai, Al-Khateeb expressed confidence that the designs will adhere to environmental norms while respecting cultural heritage.
He highlighted Saudi Arabia's efforts to enhance its tourism infrastructure, including expanding hotel capacities and seat availability on flights, and the construction of a new Riyadh airport capable of handling 20 million travelers.
Al-Khateeb revealed plans to add 200,000 hotel rooms nationwide within seven years, expecting this to significantly boost tourism—with hotels and restaurants filled with international visitors.
The Minister emphasized that by 2030, Saudi Arabia aims to celebrate the success of its strategic development plan, which will bring transformation across the country's facilities.
