European Chamber of Commerce in Saudi Arabia Inaugurated: Boosting Business Ties and Economic Cooperation between EU and Saudi Arabia

The European Chamber of Commerce in Saudi Arabia (ECCKSA) was officially inaugurated in Riyadh on Wednesday.
The launch was attended by notable figures such as Ibrahim Al-Mubarak, assistant minister of investment, Luigi Di Maio, EU special representative for the Gulf, and Christophe Farnaud, the EU ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Bahrain.

The chamber aims to promote business cooperation, trade, and investment, and help align regulatory frameworks between the EU and Saudi Arabia.

The establishment of ECCKSA is a significant move in enhancing economic ties between the EU and the Kingdom, in line with the EU-Gulf Cooperation Council strategic partnership announced in May 2022.

Di Maio described the ECCKSA as an essential new chapter in the partnership between the EU and Saudi Arabia.

The European Chamber of Commerce in Saudi Arabia (ECCKSA) was launched, marking a significant milestone in the economic partnership between Saudi Arabia and the EU.

Italian Minister for Economic Development, Di Maio, expressed confidence that this initiative will bring the economies closer, facilitate joint ventures, and boost trade and investments.

He also highlighted the potential for new business opportunities in non-oil sectors due to the integration of ECCKSA's initiatives with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.

Al-Mubarak, the Saudi Arabian Minister of Investment, emphasized the importance of this collaboration in enhancing economic cooperation between the two regions.

The European Chamber of Commerce and Industry Saudi Arabia (ECCKSA) was recently established to boost cross-border trade, investment, and collaboration between Europe and Saudi Arabia.

The EU's foreign direct investment stock in Saudi Arabia has nearly doubled to SR218.5 billion ($58.26 billion) over the past five years.

The chamber aims to strengthen business ties and support Saudi Arabia's economic diversification under Vision 2030.

A panel discussion titled "ECCKSA: Shaping the Future of EU-KSA Business Collaboration" explored strategies for deepening economic ties and new opportunities for partnership.

The panel included representatives from the EU, Saudi Ministry of Investment, and ECCKSA.

The European-Saudi Arabian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ECCKSA) was officially launched, with the Saudi Ministry of Investment handing over its license.

ECCKSA's CEO, Kristijonas Gedvilas, stated that the chamber's goal is to strengthen economic ties between Europe and Saudi Arabia and build a thriving business ecosystem.

The chamber will focus on expanding membership, engaging businesses, and providing valuable resources to foster growth and innovation in both regions.

ECCKSA aims to support its members and contribute to the economic prosperity of Europe and Saudi Arabia.
