Emir of Madinah Inaugurates Major Development and Tourism Projects in Yanbu
Prince Salman bin Sultan opens waterfront and several entertainment projects to boost tourism and investment in Yanbu.
The Emir of Madinah, Prince Salman bin Sultan, officially inaugurated the Yanbu Industrial City waterfront and a series of key development and tourism projects aimed at enhancing the city's appeal as a major destination for both residents and visitors.
The ceremony, attended by Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef and Chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu Eng.
Khaled Al-Salem, marked a significant step in the region’s growth.
The waterfront, spanning 260,000 square meters, offers services such as multi-use buildings, restaurants, cafes, and beach seating.
Al Othaim Holding Company will implement these projects, focused on boosting tourism and quality of life in the region.Prince Salman also laid the foundation for the Al-Othaim Marina project, which has an investment value of 400 million Saudi Riyals and covers 200,000 square meters.
The project will include a commercial complex, a global hotel, entertainment spaces, and cinemas.
Additionally, an agreement was signed between the Royal Commission in Yanbu and Al-Othaim Company to develop Al-Mahar Island, a 575,600 square meter area that will feature commercial centers, entertainment facilities, and essential services.Another key development is the Marsa Al Jar project, which was inaugurated in Yanbu Governorate.
The project, developed by Al-Khareef Trading and Contracting Company, spans 13,000 square meters and provides an integrated marine experience, including 100 boat parking spaces and facilities for fishing, diving, and hiking trips.
A mobile app has been introduced to help users with reservations and service management, with plans for future expansion including a modern boulevard, a diving center, and a marine equipment exhibition.During the event, several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) were signed, including one between the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu and Alat Technology Company to provide training programs, in collaboration with local colleges and institutes.
The Royal Commission also signed an MoU with Taibah University to promote joint initiatives, exchange expertise, and support community responsibility.
Additionally, the Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation signed a memorandum to manage and operate the Cricket Center in Yanbu, aimed at promoting the sport and supporting local and international programs and tournaments.
