Deal to Get Iconic Japanese Manga for Arabic Readers
Manga Arabia, a subsidiary of the Saudi Research and Media Group, has signed a licensing agreement with leading Japanese manga publisher HERO'S Inc. to deliver compelling content for manga fans across the Arab world.
Riyadh: Manga Arabia, a subsidiary of the Saudi Research and Media Group, has entered into a licensing agreement with the prominent Japanese manga publisher HERO’S Inc. This collaboration aims at bringing several renowned Japanese manga titles to Arabic-speaking audiences.
The agreement includes rights to “Akari,” “Gin no Kun,” and “Grendizer U,” a modern iteration of Go Nagai’s iconic series.
Originally serialized from October 1975 to May 1976, the original “Grendizer” series was highly popular in the Arab world.
The reintroduction of “Grendizer U” marks an important milestone for fans awaiting its Arabic release.
This strategic partnership signifies Manga Arabia's dedication to forming alliances within the international manga industry.
As part of this effort, the company has been expanding regionally and globally through its publications, including Manga Arabia Youth and Manga Arabia Kids, which are available in both digital and print formats.
Manga Arabia’s efforts have already garnered substantial attention, with their applications surpassing 12 million downloads across over 195 countries.
Additionally, monthly print distribution exceeds 250,000 copies throughout the Arab world.
In line with its global expansion strategy, Manga Arabia has established Manga International in Tokyo to solidify its position in major international markets.
