AviLease Delivers First Two of Six Fuel-Efficient Boeing 737-8 Jets to Air India Express, Reinforcing Global Expansion and Fleet Modernization
AviLease, owned by the Public Investment Fund, has delivered the first two of six scheduled Boeing 737-8 jets to Indian airline Air India Express Ltd. These fuel-efficient and technologically advanced planes are part of AviLease's plan to build a diverse portfolio of the latest-generation narrow- and wide-body aircraft.
AviLease CEO Edward O'Byrne expressed delight in delivering the first two planes and plans to lease four more this year.
Tata Group, the new owner of Air India, and AviLease, a commercial aircraft lessor, have strengthened their partnership with the delivery of two aircraft to Air India Express.
