2nd Industrial City's 4IR Center in Riyadh Now Operational
Riyadh’s Second Industrial City now hosts an operational Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR Center). Established under the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP) and in partnership with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), and MODON, the center will drive 4IR programs and skills development.
Officials from various sectors, including KAUST President Dr. Munir Al-Desouki and NIDLP CEO Eng. Sulaiman Al-Mazrou, attended the opening. Under the direction of Industry and Mineral Resources Minister Bandar AlKhorayef, the initiative is poised to advance manufacturing and innovation across the industry.
By 2025, the center plans to activate five capability centers, offering training and support to CEOs and industrial employees. This aligns with NDLEP's strategic goal to position Saudi Arabia as an industrial leader with a focus on energy, mining, industry, logistics, local content, and 4IR.
During the launch, agreements were signed to provide advisory and technical services to the center. This collaboration is aimed at fast-tracking the integration of 4IR technologies, boosting the economy, and fostering a digital transformation.
