1.9 million Students Return to Schools in Makkah and Madinah Regions
The 1447 AH academic year commences with over 1.9 million students returning to public schools in two key regions of Saudi Arabia.
Riyadh — Around 1.9 million students at all levels of public schools in the Makkah and Madinah regions returned to their classes on Sunday, marking the start of the 1447 AH academic year in these regions according to the official calendar.
Public schools in 11 other regions across the Kingdom had already commenced their classes the previous week, on August 24.In Makkah, more than 500,000 students returned to classes in 2,455 schools, supervised by approximately 38,000 teachers.
In Jeddah's governorate alone, 714,273 students attended 2,384 schools, with over 41,000 teachers present.
Taif welcomed back 270,000 students across its 1,700 schools, while Madinah saw 413,551 students attending 1,829 educational institutions, supervised by 34,637 teachers.Educational administrations have collaborated with the Ministry of Education to create environments conducive to student development, focusing on enhancing national and positive values, as well as fostering creative abilities and innovative talents.
This initiative is seen as a fundamental pillar in building the nation and achieving its vision for future aspirations.
