ZATCA Thwarts Smuggling of Over 730,000 Amphetamine Pills at Jeddah Islamic Port

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle 732,015 amphetamines into the Kingdom through Jeddah Islamic Port.
The shipment was concealed within a consignment of wardrobes.
Utilizing advanced inspection technology during routine customs checks enabled ZATCA officials to detect the contraband.
Following the seizure, collaboration with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control facilitated the arrest of four individuals within the country who were intended recipients of the illicit cargo.
In response to this incident, ZATCA emphasized its ongoing efforts to bolster customs security measures in partnership with relevant governmental agencies to safeguard society from harmful substances.
