Zahra Breast Cancer Association renews MoU with Houston Methodist to achieve its strategic goals

Zahra Breast Cancer Association and Houston Methodist renewed their three-year memorandum of understanding that builds on a strategic partnership aimed at supporting cancer awareness campaigns and conducting symposia.
Houston Methodist will provide educational content to increase awareness for early detection of breast cancer, partner with Zahra to host both social and scientific events, and participate in Walk for a Cause, all in support of Zahra’s efforts to empower communities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to combat breast cancer.

Dr. Suad Bint Mohamed Bin-Amer, founder and vice chairman of Zahra Association, said “We are pleased to renew this partnership with Houston Methodist, as it reflects our commitment to providing a broader range of health care services to our beneficiaries. We are appreciative of Houston Methodist’s efforts to support women’s health and raise awareness about breast cancer in the Kingdom. We look forward to sustaining this partnership for years to come as we are keen to develop further the extent of our collaboration towards the empowerment of women to take control of their own health and focus on awareness and prevention of breast cancer.”

José Núñez, vice president of Global Development at Houston Methodist Global Health Care Services, said, “We are thankful to HRH Princess Haifa bint Faisal Al Saud, Dr Suad and to all those who have contributed to this partnership since 2020, and we look forward to supporting Zahra’s efforts to achieve its vision and mission in the new chapter of this collaboration and partnership. At Houston Methodist, we are committed to supporting Zahra’s initiatives aimed at increasing health care awareness and knowledge about the procedures and preventive measures that can and will provide a healthier future for all women in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
