Thirteen Soldiers Killed in Suicide Attack in Northwest Pakistan
A suicide bombing in northwestern Pakistan resulted in the deaths of thirteen soldiers and left dozens injured, including civilians.
PESHAWAR: A suicide attack on Saturday led to the deaths of 13 soldiers and caused injuries to an additional 29 individuals, which included army personnel and civilians.
The incident took place in North Waziristan district, located within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
According to a local government official who wished to remain unnamed due to lack of media authorization, the attack involved a suicide bomber driving an explosive-laden vehicle into a military convoy.
This resulted in significant casualties among the soldiers and also affected civilians living nearby.The blast had a broader impact on the surrounding area, leading to the collapse of two houses' roofs.
Consequently, six children sustained injuries due to these structural failures.
The attack's aftermath has prompted a response from local law enforcement, with efforts underway to address the medical needs of those affected and to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
