Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund launches Sawani Co. to tap into growing camel dairy industry
The Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia has launched a new company, Sawani Co., to tap into the potential of the country's camel dairy industry.
The PIF aims to turn Sawani Co. into a leading producer of camel dairy products and support the growth of the industry in line with the goals outlined in Vision 2030.
The company will work with the private sector to boost production capacity and implement a modern operating system in the sector.
The camel dairy market in Saudi Arabia is estimated to reach $353 million by 2028, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 5.5%.
The PIF has been investing in the food and agricultural sector, including launching Halal Products Development Co. and Saudi Coffee Co.
