The Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission of Saudi Arabia assures the Kingdom and the Arab Gulf states that no radioactive impacts were detected after the US military operation targeting Iran's nuclear facilities.
Riyadh - The Saudi Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission has reported that there are no radioactive effects observed in the Kingdom or the broader Gulf region as a result of recent US strikes on Iran's nuclear sites.
In a statement released via its official X account, the commission emphasized, 'No radioactive effects were detected on the environment of the Kingdom and the Arab Gulf states as a consequence of the American military targeting of Iran's nuclear facilities.'The Commission further stated that no impact was recorded from the targeted uranium enrichment and conversion facilities in Iran.
This declaration aligns with similar statements made by Kuwait's National Guard, which announced stable radiation levels within the country's airspace and waters, affirming the situation remains normal.Egypt also joined in reaffirming its safety, as the Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority confirmed that the nation remains unaffected by any direct consequences from the strikes on Iran.
The confirmation comes amid escalating tensions between the US and Iran, with the recent attack representing a significant escalation by the United States following Israeli allegations of an Iranian atomic bomb.On Sunday, the United States launched missile strikes against three key locations in Iran's nuclear infrastructure, including the Ford underground uranium enrichment facility, ending days of speculation regarding potential involvement from the American military in support of Israel's previously announced campaign against Iran's nuclear program.
