Saudi air defenses intercept Houthi drone targeting Khamis Mushait
The Arab coalition said Tuesday that Saudi air defenses have intercepted an explosive-laden drone launched by Yemen’s Houthi militia towards Khamis Mushait, AlEkhbariya reported.
The militia, backed by Iran’s regime, regularly employs drones to target the Kingdom.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation condemned the attack and praised the efficiency of the Saudi air defenses in intercepting the drone.
The UAE said that the continuation of these terrorist attacks by the Houthis reflects their blatant defiance of the international community and disregard for all international laws, urging the international community to take an immediate and decisive stance to stop these repeated actions targeting vital and civilian facilities, the security of the Kingdom, energy supplies, and the stability of the global economy.
Bahrain and Kuwait also denounced the attack and renewed their solidarity with the Kingdom in all measures it takes to preserve its security, stability and sovereignty.
