While the trend for hospitalized patients in the Intensive Care Unit remains between 153 and 154, which keeps the curve flat, without increases.

The provinces with the highest incidence of cases are Panama and Darien; while among those with less than 500 infections registered are Coclé, Herrera and Los Santos.

Cedeño said that the lethality of the coronavirus remains at 2.2%, however he adds that the curve in this aspect shows that since the last week of July it has maintained a downward trend in deaths, which is sustained.

In the same position in the region, Panama is planted on the amount of infections it presents with respect to its number of inhabitants.

Finally, Minister Counselor Eyra Ruiz stated in her report that an important indicator that also allows reopening, which will take place from September 7, is the availability of hospital capacity and on this she advanced that the national health system has 2,414 beds available, equivalent to 41% of capacity.
