Qur'an Competition Participants Praise Visit to Makkah Clock Tower Museum

MAKKAH: Participants in the 45th King Abdulaziz International Competition for the Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Holy Qur'an visited the Makkah Clock Tower Museum as part of their cultural program.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, with contestants coming from 128 countries to compete in the five categories of the competition, which concluded last week.
During their visit to the museum, located on the terrace of the tower adjacent to the Grand Mosque, the participants explored its various sections and exhibits.
The museum showcases the history of the Kaaba and Islam's significance in the region.
The contestants expressed their admiration for the Kingdom's dedication to spreading knowledge across different fields while emphasizing its commitment to serving Islam and Muslims.
The visit included heartfelt prayers from the contestants for the protection, progress, and prosperity of Saudi Arabia, its leadership, and its people.
The competition this year was marked by exceptional recitation quality, precise memorization, eloquent delivery, and melodious voices across all categories.

The event also featured an upgraded electronic judging system to ensure fairness and accuracy in scoring.
