Passport's photo via Absher is not enough to travel
The new service launched by the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) of viewing a photo of the passport through Absher platform is not enough to enable its owner to travel, as citizens must bring with them the original passport.
The Jawazat has launched the service of viewing the digital passport on Absher platform to enable the citizens to view a digital photo and the information of their passport.
It has confirmed that the passport photo does not enable the citizens to travel outside Saudi Arabia, as they are required to bring the original passport, or the national ID when traveling to GCC countries.
The Jawazat affirmed that it will continue in offering the best technical services, as well as providing digital solutions to all beneficiaries, which would facilitate to them the process of completing their transactions electronically.
