Nur-Sultan Hosts International Competition of Young violinists
Nur-Sultan hosts 8th International Competition of young violinists. Talented musicians from 10 to 28 are taking part in the event. The participants arrived from Russia, Austria, Germany and all regions of Kazakhstan to the competition.
The performances of the contestants are being evaluated by the best representatives of violin schools in the world including reputable teachers, professors and honored artists.
As part of the competition, the jury members will conduct master classes while the participants will perform masterpieces of classical music and traditional songs.
Professor of Music and Arts University of Vienna, Boris Kuschnir took part as a jury member in many competitions around the world. For him, it is important if the contest is aimed at discovering new talents.
“I think that the contest is not fully successful if there is no new talented violinist. If we find at least one or two young musicians I will be very happy,” he said.
“I want to emphasize that we have a huge number of students. We want them to improve their skills by giving them such opportunity. We always want to find new talented students who will represent Kazakhstan at big international competitions,” said Rector of Kazakh National University of Arts, Aiman Mussakhajayeva.
