Murderer of mother and housemaid arrested in Makkah
A 38-year-old man, who killed his mother and her housemaid, was arrested in Makkah. The man, suspected to be suffering from mental illness, committed the barbaric crime by striking in heads of his mother and housemaid with an iron hammer at their home in Al-Shawqiyah neighborhood in Makkah.
The man then himself called the Kaakiyah police in Makkah at around 3 p.m. on Monday and informed about the brutal crime. Police rushed to the scene of murder at one of the residential apartments Al-Shawqiyah and arrested the man without any resistance. He was later referred to the investigating agencies to complete the procedures.
Speaking to Okaz/Saudi Gazette, sources said that the young man was suffering from psychological disorders, and there were several previous instances of his crimes against mother, including repeated assaults on her.
The old woman, who was in her 80s, was found dead with a smashed head in her bedroom, while the maid was beaten to death in the kitchen. Police sources said that preliminary investigations showed that both were killed after sustaining fatal injuries following smashing their head with an iron hammer.
