KSrelief-funded project aiding lives in Somali displacement camps
Project provides sanitation and water facilities to thousands of families in Somalia.
A KSrelief-funded initiative is offering vital sanitation and water amenities to thousands of families residing in displacement camps across Somalia.
Abdullah Al-Muhaidli, the secretary-general of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization, emphasized the importance of this project in addressing a pressing humanitarian need.
The project highlights KSrelief's significant role in supporting both regional and international humanitarian efforts by collaborating with various agencies.
The absence of adequate sanitation facilities and clean water presents a substantial risk to the health and well-being of individuals living in these camps.
ARCO, represented locally by the Somali Red Crescent Society, oversees the project.
SRCS President Yusuf Hassan states that it involves constructing 750 sanitation facilities in Mogadishu, Baidoa, Kismayo, Galkayo, and Bosaso.
He described this effort as a significant advancement towards enhancing environmental sanitation and curbing the spread of diseases linked to inadequate water services, particularly among those affected by conflict and drought.
Hassan expressed gratitude for KSrelief's ongoing support for humanitarian projects within the Arab and Islamic world, as well as their commitment to serving displaced populations.
