MAKKAH: The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Makkah has successfully concluded a comprehensive training program aimed at equipping staff at the Grand Mosque with basic first aid skills.
Over 3,860 trainees participated in this initiative, which encompassed both theoretical and practical sessions designed to address various emergency scenarios.
These include responding to incidents such as fainting, shortness of breath, bleeding, and minor injuries, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.
The workshop featured hands-on training sessions specifically on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
This specialized instruction was delivered in Arabic and Urdu to cater to staff members of diverse nationalities.
The goal behind this approach was to ensure that all participants, regardless of their linguistic background, could effectively respond to emergencies with a heightened level of preparedness.
The training sessions were structured to emphasize the importance of swift and accurate response during critical moments, thereby enhancing the overall safety and security measures within the Grand Mosque premises.
This initiative reflects a commitment by the Saudi Red Crescent Authority towards fostering a culture of emergency preparedness across different communities, particularly in areas with high foot traffic such as religious sites.
