KAAF’s WIKI Dowen Project participates in 2021 Wiki Arabia Conference
Supervised by King Abdul Aziz Foundation, WIKI Dowen Project participated in the 2021 Wiki Arabia Conference held between Oct.15 and 17, 2021 under the theme "Openness", the first virtual conference of its kind targeting the Arab Wikimedia community, it was reported here Sunday.
Groups of Arab Wikimedia users participated in the conference through speeches and transferred experiments, opinions and expertise with the aim of dealing with the age of globalization and its impacts on cultures and minorities in the world.
They also discussed the need to increase the pace of openness on the global cognitive content and encyclopedic work in Wikipedia to spread the knowledge and contents in the Arabic language for all fields of knowledge directly to the world, the report said.
WIKI Dowen Project's participation was part of its being a voluntary enriching Saudi project that aims at increasing the digital Arabic content through Wikipedia.
