Jeddah Municipality fixes damages caused by rain condition
Jeddah Municipality announced that it has fixed the damages caused by the rainy conditions that fell last week.
It has clarified that it has withdrawn and drained more than 1.6 million cubic meters of rainwater with the participation of more than 3,000 individuals, and about 2,000 equipment and machinery.
The municipality stated that the total tanks used exceeded 31,000, which contributed to lift about 853,000 cubic meters of water, while adding that the rainwater that was drained through the network and the existing stations was estimated at 819,000 cubic meters, in addition to the quantities absorbed by the networks through other outfalls.
In terms of fixing the damages caused by rainwater, the municipality monitored the damage of more than 100 trees and palms, as well as 16 lamp post, 140 linear meters of landslides. This has been monitored alongside scattered damages in different locations.
It is noteworthy that the municipality has started the preparation plan for the rainy season through 16 sub-municipalities and 13 support centers, which comes in line with the earlier preparations after the National Center of Meteorology and the Crisis and Disaster Management Center issued alerts.
