Jazan governor inaugurates Agricultural Marketing Services Center in the region

Prince Muhammad Bin Nasser, governor of Jazan Region, inaugurated the Agricultural Marketing Services Center in the region Saturday at the Emirate’s Court, in the presence of the Director General of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Muhammad Bin Ali Al Atif.
Prince Muhammad listened to a brief explanation from Eng. Al-Atif, and from the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vision Association Abdulaziz Al-Enezi, about the objectives of the Agricultural Marketing Services Center in the region, the role assigned to it and the quality services it provides, and facilities for farmers in the various governorates of the region, according to a series of operations that are implemented by the Vision Association.

The Emir of the region praised the qualitative work carried out by the branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the region to serve and support farmers through specialized rehabilitation programs and effective partnerships to create the appropriate environment.

This would help them use the best modern practices in preserving agricultural products and providing access to them throughout the year. There were also mentions of importance of investing the comparative advantage of the region and developing agricultural methods to ensure access to sustainable agricultural development, in order to achieve one of the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030.

Prince Muhammad witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Vision Association for Agricultural Marketing, represented by Al-Enizi, and the World Star Agriculture Company, the "strategic partner of the association", represented by its owner, Shahzad Zafar Allah, which aims to manage and operate the Agricultural Marketing Services Center in the region and to provide all services and logistics required.

Prince Muhammad also witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Cooperative Vision for Agricultural Marketing Society and the Saudi Lulu Hypermarket Company, represented by Shehim, the director. The agreement will see LuLu Hypermarket buy products from the Agricultural Marketing Services Center — "banana - papaya - mango" — with a contract extending for five years, in support of the initiative to improve the quality of seasonal products in the Jazan region.
