Commercial Treatments System to strengthen national products' competitiveness
Minister of Commerce and chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Foreign Trade Dr Majid Al-Qasabi confirmed that the Cabinet's approval of the Commercial Treatments System embodies the keenness of Saudi Arabia's leadership in finding systems and legislation that help in strengthening the competitiveness of the national products.
He added that the Commercial Treatments System would work to attract investments and establish new industries which will increase jobs opportunities and contribute in achieving the Kingdom's goals in line with Vision 2030.
The system aims to protect the local industry in Saudi Arabia from the damages caused from dumped and subsidized imports.
Dr. Al-Qasabi added that the system aimed to prevent damages resulting from the increase in imports through imposing measures against these imports at Saudi Arabia's customs borders.X
Moreover, this is also aimed at defending Saudi Arabia's exports which are affected by the commercial treatments procedures.
