Cabinet approves draft Amiri decision on Police Academy
The Cabinet on Wednesday approved a draft Amiri decision establishing and organising the Police Academy.
This came at the Cabinet's regular meeting held yesterday at the Amiri Diwan, chaired by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani.
The preparation of the draft decision comes within the framework of the establishment of an integrated academic structure represented by the Police Academy, which is concerned with developing higher police education and research studies on legal and security sciences and related disciplines, preparing qualified competencies to meet national needs in the security fields, and raising competencies and job skills, according to the QNA report.
The draft included the objectives of the Academy, its management system, its affiliated colleges and institutes, the academic degrees awarded by the Academy, and other provisions related to the Academy's work.
