Bahraini Crown Prince Reaffirms Support for Palestine During Meeting with Israeli Ambassador

Sheikh Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Bahrain's crown prince and prime minister, reaffirmed his country's support for the Palestinian cause during a meeting with the departing Israeli ambassador, Eitan Naeh.
The meeting took place at Al-Qudaibiya Palace on Monday.
The crown prince emphasized the significance of maintaining diplomatic channels to promote dialogue aimed at achieving peace, stability, and regional development.
He reiterated Bahrain's commitment to supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people in pursuit of a just and lasting solution.
Sheikh Salman also stressed the importance of ensuring the continued delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, praising efforts by allied countries to provide assistance to the territory.
Additionally, he highlighted the need for deescalation in Gaza, emphasizing the protection of civilians and calling for the release of hostages and detainees.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa, the minister of finance and national economy, and Hamad Al-Malki, the minister of cabinet affairs.
Israel and Bahrain established formal diplomatic relations in September 2020 as part of the US-backed Abraham Accords.
