Assets of Saudi factories valued at SR1.2 trillion
The total value of assets of Saudi factories amounted to SR1.2 trillion by the end of the third quarter of 2021, according to a recent report of the National Industrial Information Center (NIIC).
The number of manufacturing factories in the Kingdom reached 8,391 where a total of 968,121workers are employed.
According to the statistics revealed by NIIC, 60.3 percent the capital of these factories are Saudi investments that amounted to SR763.15 billion while 34.9 percent are joint investments whereas foreign investments stood at 4.8 percent.
Medium-sized factories are the highest among factories, with 3907 in number and they are followed by 3671 small factories and 813 large factories. The number of licensed workers in large factories accounted for 477,425, followed by 379,342 workers in medium factories, and small factories with 111,354 workers.
