Vice minister announces over SR6 billion investment in environmental projects by 2030
Saudi Arabia's Vice Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Eng.
Mansour Al Mushaiti, announced a commitment of more than SR6 billion towards environmental projects by 2030.
Speaking at the Environmental Compliance Forum in Riyadh, he cited the National Environment Strategy's focus on sustainable development with private sector participation.
The forum emphasized the need for joint efforts to sustain the environment and improve quality of life and services. Al Mushaiti also referenced a World Bank report on the costs of environmental damage and praised Saudi Arabia's strides in environmental preservation and global rankings.
