But why do we even need a Vagina Museum? Well,  65% of 16-25 year old women say they have a problem using the words 'vagina' or 'vulva', which leads to women having fears about visiting a doctor to discuss gynaecological concerns, due to embarrassment. The museum wants to tackle the stigmas around vaginas.

And there's a penis museum in Iceland, so surely the question we need to ask is: 'why shouldn't there be a vagina museum?

After two years of pop-ups — led by founder Florence Shechter — the Vagina Museum is setting up permanent shop in Camden's Stables Market. The museum itself will be free to visit, although the venue also wants to hold special events that you might have to pay to attend.

The museum's inaugural exhibition is titled Muff Busters: Vaginal Myths and How to Fight Them. It will open with the museum on 16 November and run until 16 February.
