Trump demands that all hostages be freed by noon on Saturday or 'all hell will break loose.'
On Wednesday, U.S. Special Envoy for Hostage Affairs Adam Boehler cautioned Hamas about the release of American hostages.
Boehler stressed that the terrorist group should not misjudge President
Donald Trump’s determination as the weekend deadline for hostages' release draws near.
He noted, "We have seven Americans currently held by Hamas. It’s a terror organization, and that’s intolerable." Boehler's comments come amidst rising tensions after Hamas announced it would delay the next scheduled release of hostages, citing purported Israeli breaches of the ceasefire agreement.
In reaction, President Trump urged Israel to end the ceasefire if all hostages are not released by noon on Saturday. He stated, "I’d say they ought to be returned by 12 o’clock on Saturday, and if they’re not returned... all hell is going to break out." Reports indicate that there are seventy-six hostages being held in the Gaza Strip, including at least six Americans.
Israeli officials have warned that the ceasefire agreement will be revoked, and military actions will recommence if Hamas does not release the hostages as planned.
