This project, unveiled with partner organizations such as the Pilgrim Experience Program and the Ministry of Culture, includes a 1.2 km hiking trail and six distinct cultural and leisure zones. These attractions are accessible until February 28.

The Ayn Zubaida stream, a vital water source for pilgrims, highlights Makkah's historic importance. The rehabilitation of the Khasirat Ayn Zubaida area aims to conserve Makkah's historic sites, enhance cultural appreciation, and boost historical tourism.

Historical expert Dr. Mohammed Al-Sharif praised the region's rich heritage linked to Islamic civilization and endorsed similar tourism investments. Abbasid Princess Zubaida bint Ja’far funded the construction of water facilities along the pilgrimage route, addressing the scarcity of water for travelers and Makkah's residents in the year 809-810.

Zubaida invested heavily to develop efficient water sources from Al-Hill, including Al-Mishash and Wadi Nu’man springs. The Wadi Nu’man spring emanates from the rugged Jabal Kara and supplies water to the Arafat area where pilgrims perform sacred rites during Hajj.

Visitor Nasser Bukhari commended the development of Khasirat Ayn Zubaida for spotlighting the area's historical and cultural ties to the pilgrimage tradition.
