The Crown Prince Camel Festival: 589 Races and 56.25 Million Riyals in Prizes
The fifth annual Crown Prince Camel Festival is set to take place from August 1st to the 28th at Taif Camel Square, hosted by the Saudi Camel Federation.
This year's event will feature 589 camel races, with a total prize pool of 56.25 million Saudi Riyals ($14.9 million).
The festival will begin with an 11-day preliminary stage for all age groups, featuring 350 races.
The final stage will consist of 239 races, culminating on August 28th.
The festival will include various categories of camels such as Mafarid, Haqqa, Laqaya, Jatha’a, Thanaya, Heil, Zamoul and Soudaniyat.
