Six Flags Qiddiya City Debuts Near Riyadh With World-Record Thrills
Saudi Arabia unveils its first Six Flags park, featuring record-breaking roller coasters and immersive themed lands as part of Qiddiya’s entertainment expansion
Six Flags Qiddiya City officially opened to the public on December thirty-one, two thousand twenty-five, emerging as a landmark entertainment destination near Riyadh and marking the first Six Flags theme park outside North America.
The grand opening, held under the patronage of the Governor of Riyadh Province, Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, represented a significant milestone in Saudi Arabia’s development of global-class leisure infrastructure as part of its broader economic diversification strategy.
Located approximately forty minutes from the capital in the Tuwaiq Mountains, the park spans six themed lands and offers twenty-eight rides and attractions designed to appeal to both thrill-seekers and families.
Central among its offerings is Falcon’s Flight, a steel roller coaster that has claimed global records as the world’s tallest, fastest and longest of its kind, with trains reaching speeds of roughly one hundred and fifty miles per hour and rising to about six hundred and forty feet above the ground.
Other headline attractions include additional record-setting experiences such as the tallest free-standing shot tower and the tallest tilt and inverted coasters, reinforcing the park’s position at the forefront of global theme park innovation.
The inaugural launch ceremony brought together senior officials and dignitaries from across the Kingdom, underscoring the cultural and economic importance of the project.
Six Flags Qiddiya City forms a central pillar of the wider Qiddiya City development, a flagship initiative under Saudi Arabia’s Vision Twenty Thirty programme aimed at transforming the Kingdom into a leading destination for tourism, sports and entertainment.
Featuring immersive environments, custom-designed music and advanced ride technologies, the park reflects a new generation of entertainment experiences in the Middle East.
With daily operations now underway and a range of ticketing options available, the opening of Six Flags Qiddiya City signals Saudi Arabia’s growing prominence in the global leisure sector and sets new benchmarks for large-scale entertainment development in the region.
