September Surge: Saudi Trade Surplus Reaches SR43.735 Billion
Saudi Arabia's trade surplus soared to SR43.735 billion in September 2023, the year's third-highest. Exports were at SR103.823 billion, and imports at SR60.088 billion, totaling SR163.911 billion in trade.
Asian countries, excluding Arab and Islamic ones, led importers with 55.03% (SR57.129 billion), followed by EU countries with 11.2% (SR11.582 billion), and GCC countries with 11.1% (SR11.536 billion).
China was the top destination for Saudi exports, taking 18.3% (SR18.992 billion), followed by Japan at 11% (SR11.374 billion), and South Korea at 9.9% (SR10.247 billion).
Non-oil exports, including re-exports, reached SR20.701 billion through 32 customs crossings. King Fahd Industrial Port had the highest non-oil export value in September, at SR3.254 billion, 15.7% of the total.
