The SeaWorld Yas Island theme park in Abu Dhabi officially opened to the public on May 22, featuring performances by Emirati superstar Hussain Al Jassmi and Scottish recording artist Red, as well as a 120-musician orchestra and immersive sound and light shows.
The event was attended by hundreds of special guests and celebrities, including Miral Chairman Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment Chairman Scott Ross, and Group CEO of Miral Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi.
The park, which covers five indoor levels and 183,000 sqm, features eight immersive realms and offers guests the chance to learn about and experience the beauty and wonder of the ocean.
Scott Ross, the Chairman of SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, announced the opening of SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, the first SeaWorld park to open outside of the United States.
The Marine Life Theme Park was created through collaboration and innovation between SeaWorld and Miral, a leading developer of world-class destinations.
The park features ten up-close animal encounters and over 15 interactive rides and experiences, each taking guests on a unique journey of discovery beneath the waves.
The park is home to 100 animal experiences and presentations, where guests can learn about the unique characteristics and behaviors of marine animals including dolphins, sharks, and sea turtles.
There are also 20 live characters and performances throughout the park, 18 dining options, and 13 retail outlets.
