SDRPY launches vital development projects in Yemen

Under the patronage of the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council of Yemen Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) launched several vital development projects and programs in Yemen.
The programs are provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia following the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman.

Yemeni Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik and SDRPY General Supervisor Ambassador Mohammed Bin Saeed Al Jabir attended the launch.

A ceremony was held Wednesday to mark the launch of these development projects and initiatives.

It included the opening of a project for the rehabilitation and operation of the Aden General Hospital and the establishment of the heart center.

It also included inauguration the first and second phases of the rehabilitation project of Aden International Airport, laying the foundation stone for the third phase of the rehabilitation project of Aden International Airport.

It included the opening of educational projects involving modern model schools, and launching the second phase of the "proper housing" project to rehabilitate 600 housing units for low-income families in Aden.

SDRPY has so far implemented 229 development projects and initiatives in various Yemeni governorates, serving the Yemenis in seven main sectors, namely education, health, water, energy, transportation, agriculture and fisheries, and capacity building of government institutions, in addition to development programs.

The Aden General Hospital and the Cardiology Center will provide free services and the facility is part of the efforts to improve the medical sector and the quality of services in Aden Governorate and surrounding regions.

The 270-bed hospital, built over 2,000 square meters, consists of 14 clinics and has been equipped with 2187 medical devices.
