Saudi streetwear brand 1886 adding splendor with latest collection Sleeping Dystopia

1886, the Riyadh-based streetwear label that is known for being the first brand to bring streetwear to the streets of Saudi Arabia, has launched its latest collection, Sleeping Dystopia
The collection is inspired by the iconic movie The Matrix and features a range of sweatshirts that are emblazoned with amusing characters representing different personalities. These characters remind us to celebrate everyone's differences and appreciate the uniqueness that each one of us holds.

The brand ‘1886’ was founded in 2016 by Fahad Al-Jomiah and Khalid Aljammaz, two Saudi college students who met in London where they were both studying. Their shared interests in music, art, design, and street-style movements led them to launch the first Saudi streetwear brand, one that would appeal to the Kingdom’s young generation. 1886 quickly became a popular brand in the Kingdom and throughout the Middle East due to its unbiased ethics and unapologetic stance.

Spunchy graphics, captivating prints, and signature flying monkey club logo of 1886 have secured its position as the trendiest brand for the social media generation in the Middle East. The brand's unique style deliberately unsettles rules and celebrates the oddities of each individual, making it a model among many others.

With the launch of Sleeping Dystopia, 1886 continues to push boundaries and inspire us to embrace our individuality. The collection brings us to a utopic state where we can reconnect with ourselves through our dreams and desires and find our inner resources to cope with today's challenges.

Overall, 1886’s Sleeping Dystopia collection continues the brand’s legacy of celebrating individuality, embracing the unique, and pushing boundaries. It is a must-have for anyone looking to stay on-trend and express their own style with confidence.

1886 is a streetwear brand that aspires to create urban and contemporary clothing for men and women looking for comfort with an edge.

The duo, Fahad and Khalid, originally from Saudi Arabia, met for the first time in London, where they were both studying. Their friendship and shared interest for music, art, design, and street-style movements gave them the idea of incorporating these elements under one label and launching the first Saudi streetwear brand, one that would appeal to the Kingdom’s young generation.

Soon after, 1886 was born. The brand name, derived from the unpretentious merging of their university dorm room numbers, quickly became epitome of the aspirations of the Saudi community. Driven by the label’s unbiased DNA, the line caters for all body types, shapes and sizes, and is primarily made up of staple jumpers, oversized hooded sweatshirts and slouched jogging pants each of which can be effortlessly mixed and matched with existing pieces in a go-to, street-inspired, capsule wardrobe.
